The only thing I actually dislike on the hate list are brussels sprouts, though I've only had them boiled. I don't like cooked cabbage but I recently had falafel with raw purple cabbage and it was good. And I don't dislike iceberg lettuce, I just think it's stupid. I haven't cooked many of the feared ones, so I just chose the ones that intimidate me (okra sounds scary because I hear it gets slimy, and I love eggplant but am intimidated by having to remove the bitterness). I can't believe that anyone can't LOVE broccoli. Or carrots, for that matter. I could live on those two things alone and be happy.

my kids love roasted veggies so there are so many veggies that I just chop up and roast all together... the usual is beets, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms and asparagus... just toss with a bit of olive oil and some tamari or braggs and roast for an hour... so good and full of flavour...

AS for the Jicama... I have no clue what it is... I should check it out...

my hate though are peas... and Iceberg lettuce!!

Wow! I never knew there was so many ppl who were afraid of Jicama.

We have a different word for it, but it is one of my favorite veggie/fruit.

I just love munching on it raw(with it peeled that is). The younger, the better.

i despise onions, but since they weren't an option for most hated veggie, i selected mushrooms - they're a close second. but onions, those i absolutley hate.

Beets are surprisingly easy to prepare... just boil and peel! But artichoke... that's something else. Tried making it once, it was impossible. My favorite is onions by far, they are delicious ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had to lie on the 'most hated' vegetable part of the survey because I really like all of the choices. Could you add beets and onions to the 'most hated' list? Then I could tell the truth ๐Ÿ˜‰

What a cool little survey! It's hard to pick only 3 favorite vegetables (I like 'em all!!!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you don't mind, I'll spread the word and mention your survey tomorrow at PassiFlora magazine blog (http://passifloramag.com/)

P.S. I am a bit intimidated by artichokes. I cooked them only once.

I won't touch beets. And I have no clue what to do with Okra. I love easy peas!
