Twilight's Taylor Lautner Packs on 26 Lbs., Nears Weight Goal:

So just what does it take to gain 26 pounds of 'pure muscle' ?

"Besides hitting the gym, 'I'm trying to eat as much as possible,' he said. 'Basically I'm supposed to eat everything I can and try to keep it lean. Lean meats and veggies.'"

Girls want to lose it, guys want to gain it. Most of the time anyways. But the interesting thing is that in both cases eating healthfully and maintaining a proper exercise routine are key! Read more about this fitness-friendly Twilight star...It was announced earlier this month that Lautner will return following weeks of questions about whether he could effectively portray his werewolf character (who grows a foot taller and looks 25 years old in the sequel). Most fans overwhelmingly wanted Lautner back.

Lautner told Us the support of Twilight has been "crazy."

"It's blown up into something we had no idea," he said, "so it's really exciting. I'm so thrilled to be a part of something like this."

New Moon begins shooting later this year.

    Aaron,

There is not a simple answer to your question because our bodies are in a constant state of change and flow. You may gain 5 pounds in a weeks or lose two. It all depends on your current state. If you want to build muscle you have to remember that you still have to maintain that muscle mass by working out and eating right. Everyones body has a different 'set point' for fat and muscle and if you overwork your body to go outside those boundaries of what is your 'natural state' you will need to maintain that - and sometimes maintaining what isn't natural can be unhealthy. Muscle burns more calories than fat so yes, you may find that after gaining a significant amount of muscle, without changing your diet or workout regimen, you may start to experience weight loss. This doesn't mean your muscle disappears and fat appears though. *The only way you will gain fat is if you eat more calories than your body needs for fuel (energy or to repair/build muscle tissues)*

Your body is always changing, if you are not feeling your best and want to change - you have the power to do so. So don't be afraid of your body, work with it and nurture it. It's the only one you have and it deserves constant care.

If anyone can answer me that would be great 🙂 If I do this and gain a lot of muscle, but say over time I lose it or start to eat less which causes me to lose it. Will I get excess skin/fat or side effects?

I hope he was monitored. Remember when Matt Damon lost about twenty pounds for a movie, unmonitored?! He had some severe damage from that. I hope the studios take care of these kids and don't torture them to change too quickly. Kids will do anything for their dream career. He looks good though, and I love the Twilight series.
